XML Photo Album v1.7.0 April 20, 2010 Under Linux, simply unzip this tarball to an appropriate location and run $: mono AlbumGenerator.exe For further instructions see the readme.html. As of this version, things run under Mono 2.2 (tested on Gentoo Linux amd64), though there are still a few bugs here and there: - You need Visual Basic support built into Mono. In Gentoo Linux this means 'emerge mono-basic'. - Mono sometimes has issues following symlinks in the load dialog box. Worst comes to worst, copy things manually. - The image rotation buttons don't work. They give an error message. - Very occasionally Mono will crash when you click on a text box. - Mono does strange things with underscore characters in text boxes. They will still be recorded properly in the XML. - EXIF metadata will not be transferred properly if you've turned on automatic image down-sampling. - The advanced options box may display absurdly wide. This should hopefully only be an aesthetic problem. Other than that it's usable, though not quite stable. If you find another way to crash it, please run it again with --debug in the command line, and submit a bug report with the resulting exception information.
